There's almost always a question before you speak. Answer it first — clearly, directly, without hesitation.
Don't say "both". Don't hedge. Commit to an answer and make it a full sentence. This is your anchor. Everything else builds from here.
Once you've answered, an image should form in your head. If you said "I have two cats" — you should see it: you, your cats, the bed, Netflix on in the background, nobody watching.
Now just describe what you see. Don't think. Don't edit. Speak the image out loud, detail by detail. They are the cutest cats in the world. We are all on the bed. Netflix is on but nobody is watching.
Stay in the image. This is where your content expands. Paint the picture.
This is the hardest part — and the part most people skip.
Don't just say you feel happy. Go deeper. The cats make you feel loved. But one of them passed away, so underneath that warmth there's grief too.
Speak what you actually feel, not what sounds appropriate. This is what makes people lean in. Authenticity isn't a technique — it's what you've been holding back.

The Speakeasy is her way of sharing what actually works. Not textbook drills. Not grammar rules. Structure, confidence, and the courage to mean what you say.
