政府記者會，有一種獨特的張力。

不像企業發表會可以精心設計氛圍，也不像典禮頒獎有固定的情緒弧線——政府記者會的節奏，很大程度取決於現場的層次感：主辦機關、首長、跨部門貴賓、廠商代表，還有媒體。每一方的語言習慣、身分重量，以及他們各自想要聽到什麼，主持人必須同時拿捏。

2026年7月22日，我擔任新竹市政府「公共設施用地專案通盤檢討市地重劃案採購廉政平台」啟動記者會的主持人，由高虹安市長親自出席宣布啟動。現場邀集了新竹地方檢察署、調查局、國土管理署、土地重劃工程處、公共工程委員會及相關廠商，是一場真正的跨機關場合。

主持這類場合，我在意的不是台詞有多華麗，而是銜接。每一位貴賓上台前，如何在有限的時間裡讓現場理解這個人的身分與重量？下台後，如何讓節奏不中斷地回到下一個環節？記者會有媒體，有提問，有現場突發——主持人必須是現場最穩的那個人。

這場記者會的政策背景是新竹市針對劃設逾25年、仍未取得的都市計畫公共設施用地，啟動公辦市地重劃機制，落實「公設保留地解編、還地於民」的目標。廉政平台的建立，透過跨機關合作、資訊公開與風險預警，打造公開透明的公共建設環境。

市長在台上說了一句話，我覺得很有份量：「採購廉政平台的啟動，不只是廉政工作的具體實踐，更代表市府將廉能治理融入重大公共建設的每一個環節。」

能在這樣的場合站在台上，是我做主持人最踏實的時刻之一。不是最光鮮的場合，但是最有重量的那種。

Government press conferences have a particular tension to them.

Unlike a corporate launch where atmosphere can be designed, or an awards ceremony with a scripted emotional arc — a government press conference runs on hierarchy. The host agency, the mayor, cross-departmental officials, industry representatives, and the press. Each party speaks differently, carries a different weight, and is listening for something different. The MC has to hold all of that at once.

On July 22, 2026, I served as the MC for Hsinchu City Government's press conference launching the Anti-Corruption Procurement Platform for the public land redevelopment programme. Mayor Kao Hung-an presided, with representatives from the Hsinchu District Prosecutors Office, Investigation Bureau, National Land Management Agency, Land Readjustment Engineering Office, Public Construction Commission, and industry stakeholders in attendance — a genuinely multi-agency room.

In events like this, I'm not thinking about eloquent copy. I'm thinking about transitions. Before each official takes the stage: how do you orient the room to their role and significance in the time you have? After they step down: how do you maintain momentum without a beat of dead air? There's live press, there are questions, there are moments nobody scripted. The MC needs to be the most composed person in the room.

The policy context: Hsinchu City is tackling urban planning land that has been reserved for public infrastructure for over 25 years but never acquired. The city is now using a public land readjustment mechanism to convert that reserved land, returning it to productive use — a policy the mayor described as "returning land to the people." The new platform builds transparency through cross-agency cooperation, public disclosure, and risk monitoring at every procurement stage.

Mayor Kao said something that stayed with me: "The launch of this procurement integrity platform isn't just a concrete act of anti-corruption work — it represents the city government embedding integrity governance into every stage of major public construction."

Being on stage for moments like this is one of the most grounding parts of this work. Not the most glamorous occasion. The most substantial one.
